Capital Area Biblical Studies Fellowship

Family Camp is for anyone in the family of God who wants to enjoy a vacation centered on God’s Word, with other believers, away from the world. God’s Word will be taught mornings and evenings for children, young people, and adults. Meals will be eaten together and afternoons can be spent in recreational activities such as swimming, canoeing, hiking, softball, volleyball, badminton, and horseshoes. The camp has modern facilities, its own private lake with a beach and canoes, play fields, and hiking trails. Participants can look forward to an abundance of learning, fellowship, and prayerful time with God in the peaceful surroundings of the Blue Ridge Mountains.

Camp Begins:

Registration – Sunday, August 1, 2010: 2:00-4:00 p.m.

Camp Ends:

Checkout – Friday, August 6, 2010: 8:00-9:00 a.m.

Location:

Camp Blue Ridge (Blue Ridge Conference Center) – Montebello, Virginia (approximately one hour south of Charlottesville, Virginia or three to four hours southwest of Washington, D.C.)

Cost:

(Calculate ages as of August 1, 2010)

Note: Rates are based on family or group occupancy in standard housing (not air-conditioned). For deluxe housing (air-conditioned), there is an extra charge of $90 per person. For single occupancy, there is an additional charge of $100 per person.

Application:

Application forms must be postmarked no later than April 20, 2010. Half of the total payment for each participant should be included with the application form. The other half is payable at Camp Registration on August 1. Acceptance:Acceptance letters will be sent out in May. The acceptance letter will include a “what to bring” list, directions to the camp, and other pertinent information.

Worship Manifestations

You are invited to participate in a Youth Study Weekend on the Worship Manifestations of Speaking in Tongues, Interpretation of Tongues and Prophesy taught by Bruce Mahone and Joe Suminski on Saturday, November 15, 2008 in Woodbridge, Virginia.

This class will explore what the scriptures teach us about the worship or utterance manifestations of holy spirit and how they benefit individual believers, as well as the entire fellowship. Perfect prayer, edification, exhortation, and comfort will be covered in some detail. In addition to teaching, there will be ample opportunity to put these manifestations into practice.

Class Schedule: Saturday, November 15, 2008 9:00 am – 4:00 pm

Additional Activities

Recreational activities will be available both Friday and Saturday evenings. Participants are also invited to stay for Sunday morning fellowship. Housing with local believers is available by request.

Who Should Attend

Anyone desirous of learning about the worship manifestations. Prior experience with speaking in tongues is recommended, but not required. Although the event is targeted for youth, adults are welcome to attend.

Conference Fee

There is no fee for this class. A light buffet lunch will be provided. Participants are asked to bring a Bible and writing materials.

• Take exit 160 (route 123 north towards Occoquan)
• Turn left at the second light onto Old Bridge Road
• Proceed about 4 miles to Smoketown Road – turn left
• Take the third right onto Beaver Ford Road (AFTER Beaver Pond)
• The house is approximately ½ mile on the left – brick front
